CCTV footage has surfaced showing a man firing shots at three alleged would-be robbers in Johannesburg.

In the video, the victim is seen driving into the garage last Wednesday. As the garage door closes, one of the suspects creeps in. While he is approaching the passenger door, the victim fires at the suspects. The suspects apparently returned fire as they were running away.

It is unclear if there were any injuries.

Last Thursday, CCTV footage emerged showing a woman firing shots at house robbery suspects in Pari Park, Port Elizabeth, in Eastern Cape.

In the footage, posted on YouTube by Craven Coetzee, the three knife-wielding suspects are seen entering the house at about 2.25am. The suspects are also seen sneaking upstairs and later holding electric cables, seemingly for the purpose of tying up the residents. One of the suspects is seen holding the woman’s handbag before getting spooked.

Shortly afterwards, the woman wakes up and fires shots at the suspects, who reportedly escape through a window. Coetzee is seen waking up a few seconds later, arming himself, running to the kitchen and pressing panic button. The suspects reportedly fled with an undisclosed amount of money, the woman’s purse and bank cards.
