Large parts of Krugersdorp, on Gauteng’s West Rand are expected to experience water disruptions later this week, the Mogale City Local Municipality said.

According to a statement on the municipality’s website, there will be a water shutdown due to maintenance work at the Kenmare pump station from 5.30pm on Wednesday to 3pm the following day, Krugersdorp News reported.

Kenmare, all extensions of Noordheuwel, Rant-en-Dal, Featherbrooke, Extension 4 of Rangeview, as well as Ruimsig Country Estate, are the areas said to be affected by the disruption. However, water tankers will be made available at various locations in each area.

Residents were advised to use water sparingly until maintenance at the pump station is completed.
