A woman is expected to appear in court today after she allegedly shot her husband three times at a house in Barrington Estates in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal.

Security and medical rescue services responded to reports of gunshots in the area just after 8pm on Wednesday night. Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Dieter Fittkau said the man was shot in his arm, leg and shoulder, North Coast Courier reported.

The man was then transported to Victoria Hospital by paramedics and is said to be in a critical but stable condition. Fittkau added that the incident may have been a case of domestic violence.

On Monday, hip-hop artist Nkululeko “Flabba” Habedi was stabbed and killed at his home in Alexandra, allegedly by his girlfriend. He was reportedly stabbed in the heart by 26-year-old Sindisiwe after an argument between the two.

Manqele made a brief appearance at the Alexandra Magistrates’ court on Tuesday and is expected to appear again on Monday.

During her appearance, Manqele claimed to have bruises on her leg, stitches on her left wrist and stab wounds to her stomach.
