VIDEO: ‘Drunk’ man threatens neighbour

CNS Reporter

Police on Wednesday had yet to comment on an incident where a man allegedly threatened his neighbour with a knife in Sandton, in the north of Johannesburg.

A screenshot of the video showing the man holding a knife while making the threats.

In the video recorded on Friday, a knife-wielding man, who appears to be drunk, is seen screaming and swearing at his neighbour, Sandton Chronicle reported.

In the racially charged diatribe, the man refers to his neighbour as a “boer” before threatening to kill him.

Warning: contains explicit language

“I’m gonna f**king cut your guts out … I come from Soweto,” the man is heard saying.

It is unclear how the argument started. Sandton police could not be reached for comment.

In November last year, a video emerged showing a pub owner threatening patrons with a firearm before firing a shot at them in Umtentweni, Port Shepstone, in KwaZulu-Natal. It is believed the incident took place at a 3rd Avenue pub.

The shirtless pub owner, who was reportedly intoxicated, allegedly tried to chase customers away from his premises, first with a Samurai sword and then a gun, after they apparently claimed he had overcharged them and served flat beer.

Off camera, somebody reportedly snuck up behind and tackled the man before disarming him.
