A man was arrested after he was allegedly found in possession of fake R100 notes and dagga in his house in Alexandra, north of Johannesburg, metro police said on Thursday.

“Officers received a tip-off and went and searched the house. They found a thousand R100 fake notes and 1.36kg of dagga in his wardrobe,” said Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar.

The man, aged 52, is expected to appear in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of possession of dagga and counterfeit notes.
