Tonga police said the victim alleged on Sunday, her daughter made her tea before she left to church, and suddenly, after a couple of minutes she felt somebody dragging her down aggressively, Mpumalanga News reported.

Tonga police spokesperson Lieutenant Mzwandile Nyambi said the victim told the police she tried screaming, but the suspect covered her mouth, raped her and fled the scene.

Anyone with information is requested to contact Constable Dladla on 013-780-8300.

Investigations are ongoing.

Last month, police were searching for three women who allegedly raped a 21-year-old man at gunpoint in Diepsloot, northern Johannesburg.

Warrant Officer Daniel Mavimbela said the suspects picked up the victim in a white Toyota Tazz at a tuck shop in Extension 12.

The unidentified victim said the women claimed they had been lost.

Mavimbela said the victim was allegedly forced into the backseat, and the suspects drove away with the victim.

Mavimbela added the suspects then parked on the side of the R114.

According to the victim, one of the suspects undressed and forced him to have sexual intercourse with her at gunpoint.
