“Our prayers are with her and the family during this difficult time and we wish her a speedy recovery,” provincial secretary Sihle Zikalala said in a statement.
Magwaza-Msibi, who is also the leader of the National Freedom Party, was admitted to a Durban hospital on Monday, ministerial spokesman Canaan Mdletshe said earlier.
“She has been travelling all over the country. All the travelling has taken its toll on her and she needs to rest.”
Asked about kaMagwaza-Msibi’s condition, Mdletshe said: “She is fine, she is resting”.
NFP secretary general Nhlanhla Khubisa said in an e-mail that Magwaza-Msibi’s husband, Mandla Msibi, told him the NFP leader was in hospital for a routine check-up.
“The doctors have advised that she rests and after this thorough check-up she will go back to work.”
