ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said paramedics were called after a small rockslide occurred, injuring the two men.
“Paramedics, as well as personnel on scene, had to remove the rubble from the entrance of the cave before they could gain access.
After 30 minutes, paramedics had managed to remove the rubble by hand.
Meiring said one man sustained moderate injuries to his chest, and was stabilised on scene. The second man was assessed and treated.
“Both patients were later transported to Krugersdorp Hospital for further observation.”
