A man was killed and two others injured when two cars collided near Krugersdorp on Thursday evening, Gauteng paramedics said.

ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said the accident occurred on the N14 near the Beyers Naude off-ramp.

“When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene, they found both vehicles lying in the middle of the road. Both vehicles had sustained major damage.

“On assessment, paramedics discovered a male in his 30s lying in his vehicle. Unfortunately the man had already succumbed to his injuries.”

He said the driver and passenger of the second vehicle were injured.

“The patients were carefully removed from the vehicle and treated for their injuries. They were thereafter transported to Krugersdorp Hospital for further treatment.”

The cause of the accident was not yet known.
