The candidates for judges in the Western Cape High Court were also expected to be announced at the end of the Judicial Service Commission’s (JSC) sitting.
The shortlisted candidates were being interviewed by the JSC at its sitting in Cape Town. The JSC was sitting until Friday.
Four candidates were competing for a judge’s post in the Eastern Cape High Court, while another four were vying for the judge president post in the Free State High Court.
Two others were shortlisted for a Labour Court judge position, and three for the Western Cape High Court.
In July, the JSC invited nominations to fill the vacancies.
