Woman dead in Durban accident

A woman died and another person was injured in an accident in Durban on Wednesday, KwaZulu-Natal paramedics said.

Two cars collided at the McDonald and Frere roads intersection after 7am, causing one to hit a traffic light, said Rescue Care’s Garrith Jamieson.

The woman died before paramedics arrived. The other driver sustained minor injuries.

“At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision. However, police were on the scene and will be investigating further.”
