Nontembeko Matshini, 39, pleaded guilty to a charge of possessing dagga with a street value of R1000 and was sentenced to a R1000 fine or six months’ imprisonment, Captain Jackson Manatha said. She paid the fine.
Siwiso Mshumayeli, 74, pleaded not guilty and was granted R800 bail. His case was postponed to September 1. He allegedly had dagga with an estimated street value of R8000 in his possession.
The two were arrested in different locations in Mahasana, near Willowvale, on Wednesday.
