“The PSC has since commenced with the investigation into the alleged corruption, nepotism, discrimination and unfairness in the department of women, children and people with disabilities,” said PSC spokesman Humphrey Ramafoko,  the Sunday Independent reported.

A memorandum sent to the PSC by various unions alleged that internal staff transfers and appointments of staff to management positions were conducted “without following proper procedure”.

Head of Communication in Women, children and people with disabilities department Kenosi Machepa said she was unaware of the memorandum but added that if irregularities were found: “recommendations would have to be made to guide how these should be addressed.
