Colonel Emelda Setlhako said that the shack caught fire on Saturday around 9pm.
“According to the information the neighbours saw the shack on fire, and it was established later that the victim was allegedly trapped inside.”
An inquest would be held into the death.
The cause of the fire was unknown.
