KwaZulu-Natal police seek public’s help to locate two suspects

Ndlovu was arrested in June 2015 after he was found in possession of copper cables.

Police in Hilton near Pietermaritzburg have asked for the public’s help to locate two wanted suspects for whom warrants of arrest have been issued, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Saturday.

Thabiso Ndlovu, 31, was arrested in June 2015 after he was found in possession of copper cables. The cables were identified by Transnet, Captain Nqobile Gwala said.

He was prosecuted and convicted in the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate’s Court. He was released on bail, but never returned to court for sentencing. He rented a room in France location in Pietermaritzburg but had since moved out.

Another suspect, Emmanuel Nkosinathi Mkhize, 44, was wanted for fraud. He worked in the agriculture department’s supply chain management section.

“He fraudulently provided the details of the company that will supply the one-day-old chicks and cash of up to R50,000 was deposited to his bank account that he had opened using that company name. The chicks were not delivered and the company did not exist. He disappeared from his home in [the] Clermont area outside Pinetown,” Gwala said.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts was urged to contact Hilton Detective Constable Nxele on 033-845-6520/1 or 072-108-1738, or the Crime Stop number 08600-10111.
