Twelve people were arrested for murder, 22 people were arrested for rape and 119 people were arrested for assault, Colonel Sabata Mokgwabone said.
Other cases included residential and business burglary, shoplifting, drunken driving and drug-related crimes.
“Forty-three undocumented persons were also arrested,” said Mokgwabone.
“The police managed during the operations to seize… counterfeit cigarettes, a number of drugs, 19 firearms and various electrical appliances,” he said.
Several of the people who were arrested had already appeared in different courts, while others are expected to appear on Monday.
