A baby boy, believed to be one-year-old, was killed and two other people were injured when a car veered off the R29 and rolled in Kinross in Mpumalanga on Friday night, paramedics said.

When ER24 arrived on the scene they found a car that had rolled and crashed through a wall, ER24 spokeswoman Ineke van Huyssteen said.

“Upon further assessment, paramedics found a baby lying outside of the vehicle. Unfortunately he had succumbed to his injuries and he was declared dead on the scene.

“A man and a woman were still inside the vehicle. The man had sustained serious injuries and the woman sustained moderate injuries. Both of the patients were transported by ER24 to Evander hospital for further medical care,” Van Huyssteen said.
