One dead, one injured in KZN fire

The gender of the deceased was unknown as the body was burnt beyond recognition, said ER24 spokeswoman Luyanda Majija.

The second person, a security guard, suffered third degree burns but survived.

“ER24 Durban paramedics arrived…and treated the security guard for smoke inhalation and the burn wounds he sustained,” said Majija.

The man was taken to RK Khan hospital.

The cause of the fire, which swept through a vehicle repair building, was unknown.
