Police in the Eastern Cape are investigating a case of culpable homicide after an unknown teenager was struck by a vehicle on the N2 between the Cotsworld Bridge and Standford Road in Port Elizabeth. He died on the scene.
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Alwin Labans said the incident happened on Thursday morning when a woman, driving a white Renault, saw a man running across the highway.
Labans said the woman tried to avoid him but he was hit and died on the scene.
“The deceased is unknown and is between 15 and 20 years old,” said Labans.
Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
