A man accused of murdering his wife has been arrested in Stilfontein, North West police said on Monday.

The 84-year-old man was arrested on Saturday at his home, Captain Pelonomi Makau said.

“It is suspected that the couple had a fight and the suspect allegedly stabbed the deceased with a knife on her head and arms,” Makau said.

There was no forced entry to the house.

The man was expected to appear in the Stilfontein Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
