When the paramedics got to the scene, it was too late to save the woman.

A woman jogger, believed to be in her 30s, was killed when she was knocked over by a car on Hendrik Potgieter Road in Florida in Rooodepoort, Johannesburg on Saturday afternoon, paramedics said.

ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene at about 5pm and “saw the woman was unresponsive”, ER24 spokeswoman Annine Siddall said.

“Unfortunately, there was nothing paramedics could do to save her life and she was declared dead on the scene. One of the passengers in the car, a teenager believed to be 16 years old, sustained moderate injuries and he was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment,” Siddall said.
