The suspects in the mob killing were still unknown and there were no arrests.

Police in Modjadjiskloof outside Tzaneen are investigating two murders which occurred at Mokgoba near the Modjadjiskloof CBD, Limpopo police said on Saturday.

It was alleged that at about 11.50pm on Friday night “two men were fighting until one of them, aged 27, originally from Zimbabwe, ran away to his shack, but the suspect followed him and chopped him to death in front of his shack with a sharp instrument and then run away to his shack”, Lt-Col Moatshe Ngoepe said.

“Following this incident the local community mobilised themselves, followed the suspect to his shack, [and] they caught him and assaulted him to death. The motive behind this conflict is not clear at this stage.”

The suspects in the mob killing were still unknown and there were no arrests. Anyone with information about the suspects involved in this killing should please contact Lt-Col Joseph Baloyi at 082-565-8145, or the nearest police station or the crime stop number 08600-10111 or the crime line sms 32211.
