Six injured in taxi collision in Durban

The exact cause of the collision was not immediately known, but police were on the scene to investigate.

Six people sustained various injuries Thursday morning after a taxi and a vehicle collided on Candella Road in Mayville, Durban, Rescue Care Paramedics said in a statement.

Rescue Care spokesperson Ceron Lennox said paramedics were called to the scene at about 6.30am, where a taxi had veered off the road following the collision with a bakkie.

“Six people had sustained injuries from minor to moderate and were stabilised on the scene by Rescue Care Paramedics before being transported to various Durban hospitals for the further care that they required.”
