On Wednesday the Afrikaans rapper posted a video on his facebook group claiming he could not perform at the Oppikoppi music festival because he had been arrested. Parow claims he and a friend were detained after ‘borrowing’ a catamaran and would not be released until Monday. The singer was due to perform at the music festival in Northam, Limpopo this weekend.
Oppikoppi’s Facebook page administrator posted: “Swak news everyone, it’s official Jack Parow has been detained for “disturbing the peace” at Vaalkop Dam in the early hours of the morning yesterday. Oppikoppi is trying to see if he will be released in time to play.”
