Woman killed, two others injured in Cape Town accident

The two injured men on the scene were assessed, and one was found critically injured.

A woman was killed and two others injured on Tuesday morning after a minibus and light motor vehicle collided head-on in Blue Downs, in Cape Town.

ER24 spokesperson Russell Meiring said various emergency services converged on the scene and found a woman lying on the pavement while two men were found walking around the scene of the accident.

According to ER24, paramedics assessed the woman, believed to be in her early 30s. and found that she had sustained numerous fatal injuries and showed no signs of life.

“Unfortunately, nothing could be done for the woman, and she was declared dead on the scene,” said Meiring.

The two men on the scene were assessed, one was found critically injured, while the second was found in a serious condition.

“Paramedics treated both patients and immediately initiated advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the patients were transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment,” said Meiring.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
