Two arrested for dealing in dagga in Bloemfontein

Two men, aged 35 and 50, will appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Monday on charges of possession and dealing in dagga, Free State police said.

Police tactical response team and flying squad officers followed up information on Friday which led to the arrest of the 50-year-old male suspect allegedly selling dagga at Ipopeng location, Sergeant Sinah Mpakane said.

After a preliminary investigations the man led the police to his alleged supplier, a Swazi national, who was found in his rented room in Rocklands location. “The room was filled with Swazi rock dagga with a street value of R20,000. The suspected supplier of dagga was arrested on the scene,” Mpakane said.
