Botha’s Hill man stabbed to death, police seek help

A 35-year old man was found murdered in his rented room in the Botha’s Hill area on the western outskirts of Durban, police said on Thursday.

Police spokeswoman Colonel Thembeka Mbhele said that the man, who had sustained numerous stab wounds, had been found in his residence in Beneres Road, Embo area near Zondela Store on Wednesday morning.

“The deceased had multiple stab wounds in the upper body and was last seen alive on the previous day,” she said.

The motive for the killing was not immediately known and a case of murder has been opened at the Hillcrest police station.

Mbhele said that police were appealing to anyone who could assist them in the case to contact the Hillcrest police station or commander Colonel Zama Mabaso on 082-376 3037 or 031-783 441.
