12 injured after taxi rolls down embankment in KZN

Two of them had sustained moderate injuries, while nine others had sustained minor injuries.

At least 12 people were injured after a taxi rolled down an embankment off Benares Road in Botha’s Hill, KwaZulu-Natal, ER24 said on Tuesday.

Paramedics along with other services on Monday found the taxi lying on its side at the bottom of a deep embankment.

In a statement, ER24 said: “Paramedics found 11 people walking around on the scene, while a twelfth patient was found lying inside the taxi.”

Two of them had sustained moderate injuries, while nine others had sustained minor injuries.

Local authorities were on scene to investigate the cause of the crash.
