Man falls 15 metres to his death in Gauteng

Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained a serious head injury and showed no signs of life.

A man, believed to be in his late 20s, died when he fell 15 metres at a company premises in the industrial area of Meyerton in Gauteng on Sunday, paramedics said.

Upon arrival at the scene, ER24 paramedics found the man lying on the floor in a large building, surrounded by a number of his colleagues,” ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said.

Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained a serious head injury and showed no signs of life.

“Unfortunately, the man had already succumbed to his injuries. Nothing more could be done for the man and he was declared dead on the scene. Unfortunately, the cause of this incident is not yet known but authorities will be conducting an investigation into the matter,” Meiring said.
