Mother hijacked with three children in Farrarmere

The hijackers ordered her and her children to get out of the car.

A woman and her three children were hijacked in Farrarmere, Benoni, at around 2pm on Saturday, reports the Benoni City Times.

Captain Nomsa Sekele, the police’s Ekurhuleni Central Cluster spokesperson, said the female victim was driving to a function in Farrarmere from her home in Mackenzie Park, in a white BMW.

“Upon her arrival – after parking the car – she suddenly saw a charcoal Hyndai behind her car with four occupants,” said Sekele.

“Two of them quickly jumped out with guns and approached her side of the vehicle.”

The hijackers ordered her and her children to get out of the car.

Sekele said the vehicle was later recovered in Alexandra.

No shots were fired and no injuries were reported.

A case of hijacking has been opened.
