A mother of four was arrested and charged with assault and grievous bodily harm after apparently assaulting her mother-in-law in Palmview in Durban on Sunday, South Coast Herald reports.
Police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said the woman (35) went to her mother-in-law’s home, where an argument ensued.
“It is claimed that the daughter-in-law then assaulted the older woman, who suffered injuries to her face and legs,” she said.
The elderly woman was taken to hospital.
According to police reports, the daughter-in-law had left the area but was later arrested and charged.
She appeared in court and the case was postponed to November 3.
