A teenager is expected to appear in the Acornhoek Magistrates’ Court today after handing himself over to police for allegedly killing a fellow pupil during a school lunch break.

Brigadier Selvy Mohlala said that a Grade 10 pupil from a secondary school in Zoeknog Village at Bushbuckridge, Nelspruit turned himself in yesterday after a manhunt was launched after the incident.

“It is alleged that the pupil  had an argument yesterday, 18 February 2014, with his fellow Grade 9 schoolmate.

“It is alleged that during break time, the Grade 9 pupil was busy buying food from the informal traders at the school when the Grade 10 pupil attacked him with a knife, fatally stabbed him and fled the scene,” said Mohlala.
