Two business robbery suspects in the dock in N West court

Two men were expected to appear in the Zeerust Magistrates’ Court on Monday for possession of illegal firearms, business robbery and possession of suspected stolen goods, North West police said.

Sergeant Kelebogile Moleko said the men both aged 22 were arrested on Thursday.

“The arrest of the suspects came after the police followed up on information and spotted two males fitting the given description. According to information. The suspects were arrested in the central business district after a 9mm revolver, four pairs of hand gloves, a face mask and two cell phones were found when the police searched them,” said Moleko.

“The suspects were successfully linked with a business robbery that was reported at Lekubu village wherein a foreign owned tuck shop was robbed. The cellphones found in possession of the suspects were positively linked to the business robbery.”
