Young communists trickle into stadium

Members and supporters of the Young Communist League of SA were beginning to arrive at the George Thabe stadium in Sharpeville ahead of its 10th anniversary rally on Sunday.

House music was blasting through the speakers at the stadium ahead of the arrival of guests.

General secretary Blade Nzimande was expected to speak at the League’s rally.

Other speakers expected at the event include Jessie Duarte, Sdumo Dlamini and Buti Manamela.

Members from all nine provinces were expected to be at the stadium.
