A seemingly abandoned minibus taxi burned out in Germiston in Ekurhuleni on Friday night, Gauteng paramedics said.
ER24 paramedics attended to the taxi incident on the N3 just after Grey Avenue in Germiston, ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said.
“Upon arrival, paramedics found the taxi well alight. Fire and rescue extinguished the blaze. The taxi driver was not found on [the] scene.
“It is understood that there were no passengers in the vehicle at the time of the incident. The exact cause of the incident is unknown. Authorities were on [the] scene for further investigations,” Bodasing said.
