Solly Mokoetle has been found by his wife in a Phoenix hospital, just north of Durban, having gone missing last week Friday in his pyjamas.
Mokoetle’s wife, Zola Ntuli, says in an interview with News24 that her husband was found with a cut on his head.
“He is alive, I think he fell because he has a cut on his head. I think someone found him and took him to the hospital” she said.

The search for former SABC chief executive Solly Mokoetle continues on Wednesday after he went missing from his Durban home on Friday night, clothed only in his pyjamas.
He disappeared after he apparently stepped outside his luxury home in Mount Edgecombe, KwaZulu-Natal. Mokoetle, 56, was thought to have gone to meet someone at his gate.
Mokoetle’s wife, Zola Ntuli, who reported him missing to the police on Sunday, said he was on diabetes medication.
Mokoetle heads the department of communications’ Broadcasting Digital Migration Project Management Office.
With the search for Mokoetle continuing, Commmunications Minister Faith Muthambi has appealed for help.
“We are concerned about his welfare as the Ministry of Communications. We call upon anyone who may have seen him recently or know his whereabouts to contact the family or the police,” said Muthambi.
