35-year-old Moosa was kidnapped in the Nirvana area of Polokwane in March.

A large crowd gathered outside the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Monday morning to oppose bail for the three men accused of the kidnapping of Anisah Moosa earlier this year.

35-year-old Moosa was kidnapped outside her uncle’s home in the Nirvana area of Polokwane in March and was held hostage while the kidnappers demanded R2million in ransom from her family, Review Online reported.

A rescue operation, carried out by police and the Hawks, led to her safe return some days later.

Samuel Kubo, 28, Masilo Elias Gafane, 33, and Benny Mudau, 34, face charges of hijacking and the attempted murder of three police officers, who were shot during the rescue operation. The three appeared in the Polokwane Regional Court last Tuesday.

The case was postponed until today.
