Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema will on Thursday graduate for his Bachelor of Arts Degree with Unisa in a graduation ceremony to be held on Wednesday.
However, Malema said he would not stop here and plans on continuing with a post graduate degree.
“Learning goes on. It doesn’t stop, especially when you don’t do it for job purposes but you do it for accumulation of knowledge and better understanding of issues which are raised academically and politically.
“It is for that purpose really and you don’t have to hurry it,” Malema told Sapa.
In a statement released by the EFF, the party congratulated Malema, saying he demonstrated great patience, perseverance and strength of will.
“The completion of this BA qualification amidst all other demands on him as a leader places him amongst the struggle heroes and heroines who never compromised to lead our people in the liberation struggle without academic qualifications. These selfless heroes and heroines of our liberation struggle studied amidst torture, imprisonment, war and building a formidable liberation movement,” the party said.
“We salute the CIC and call upon all young people of South Africa to emulate his example. Value education against all the odds and never compromise in the struggle for Free Education for all.”
