Is it possible to be disappointed with the outcome of the Oscar Pistorius trial and still accept Judge Thokozile Masipa was correct to acquit him of murder?

To do so we must appreciate the distinction between law and justice (in South African law, apartheid was legal but unjust). Many of us have a gut feeling natural justice has not been served in the Oscar case.

We have an image of him as a reckless gun lover, prone to bad temper and jealousy. He shot and killed Reeva Steenkamp. We conclude he must be guilty of murder.
