ANC chooses Mao over Dalai Lama


As if the governing party was not already steeped in enough turpitude, two more examples of shameful kowtowing to Beijing have surfaced.

First, the ANC-dominated Tshwane Metro Council has decided to name a street after Mao Zedong (previously known as Mao Tse-tung).

During Mao’s 27-year reign as chairperson of the Chinese Communist Party he was responsible for the deaths of between 30 million and 70 million people.

The ANC reportedly believes he was a great revolutionary who helped the ANC and therefore benefited South Africa. Historically that’s not strictly true.
