South African President Jacob Zuma on Thursday extended his condolences to Indonesia following an earthquake that struck earlier in the week, killing an estimated 100 people.
The 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck Indonesia’s Aceh province on Tuesday.
“I wish to extend our condolences to H.E President Joko Widodo, the government and the people of Indonesia. The people of South Africa share the pain and loss of the loved ones, their homes and property, and our thoughts and prayers go out to all the affected families. We also wish the injured a speedy recovery,” Zuma said.
