The suspect allegedly forced himself on to her without using a condom.

A woman was raped by a man in a terrifying attack at the uMhlanga taxi rank in Durban.

According to police spokesperson Captain Raymond Deokaran, the woman, who lives near the rank, was confronted by a man wielding a knife, Northglen News reported.

“He forced her to undress at knifepoint and told her to be quiet or he would hurt her. He then undressed and forced himself on to her without using a condom. He then fled the scene on foot.

“The traumatised carguard then made her way to the Durban North SAPS, where she laid the charge,” he said

He was arrested on Monday by members of the station after the 25-year-old positively identified him.

He will appear in court later this week.
