Blind pedestrian hit by car after being robbed

A pedestrian was rushed to hospital after he was knocked down by car on Kandahar Avenue, Ladysmith, in KwaZulu-Natal.

It is believed the victim is blind and was robbed before being hit by the car on Thursday night, Ladysmith Gazette reported.

The person he was allegedly with took all his belongings, including his cane, and left him helpless.

Disorientated, the blind man walked until he was hit by a car.

EMRS, Sharaj Ambulance Services and ER24 responded to the scene.

The injured pedestrian was treated at the scene for moderate injuries and then transported to hospital by EMRS.

Public Safety, towing services and police were also on the scene
