‘After the money is deposited, he disappears.’

Limpopo police in Modimolle are searching for a scam artist who reportedly advertises buffalo for sale, takes a deposit and disappears.

Provincial police spokesperson Colonel Ronel Otto said the suspect, Jaco Opperman, advertised buffalo for sale on the Internet. Interested people contact him and are told to deposit a certain amount into a supplied bank account, Capricorn Review reported.

“After the money is deposited, he disappears,” he added.
