Multitudes of people are already making their way to the Giyani stadium in Limpopo, where President Jacob Zuma is expected to deliver the keynote address of the main Freedom day celebrations.
Most of the people, have been seen dressed in ANC T-shirts, while there also long queues outside the stadium.
Locals are also being given food.
The beleaguered Zuma appears to be loved in this part of the world, as people can be heard singing songs in praise of Zuma.
Ironically Zuma was booed when he visited Limpopo a few years ago.
This day serves as a platform to promote unity and a common agenda of building a united and prosperous South Africa.
Those who are unable to make it to Giyani can follow the proceedings live on various media platforms such as the SABC and eNCA.-firstname.lastname@example.org
