Nu Metro’s cinemas in Pretoria have tons of action lined up for you this weekend. The new movie based on the global video game phenomenon, MORTAL KOMBAT, kick-boxes it’s way with otherworldly martial arts power into their cinemas from Friday – two weeks before the US!

If you’re an anime fan craving to see Japan’s highest-grossing movie ever on the Big Screen – filled with sword-fighting action, adventure and a good dose of fantasy horror – get ready for DEMON SLAYER – KIMETSU NO YAIBA THE MOVIE: MUGEN TRAIN (Japanese, with English subtitles) in Menlyn Park’s cinemas this weekend.

MORTAL KOMBAT (16 VL)

The explosive, action-packed fantasy adventure, Mortal Kombat, is inspired by the blockbuster video game franchise. MMA fighter Cole Young, accustomed to taking a beating for money, is unaware of his heritage—or why Outworld’s Emperor Shang Tsung has sent his best warrior, Sub-Zero, an otherworldly Cryomancer, to hunt Cole down. Fearing for his family’s safety, Cole goes in search of Sonya Blade at the direction of Jax, a Special Forces Major who bears the same strange dragon marking that Cole was born with. Will Cole be pushed hard enough to unlock his arcana—the immense power from within his soul—in time to save not only his family but to stop Outworld once and for all?

DEMON SLAYER – KIMETSU NO YAIBA THE MOVIE: MUGEN TRAIN (13 V)

Tanjiro and co have completed their rehabilitation training at the Butterfly Mansion, and they arrive at their next mission on the Mugen Train, where over forty people have disappeared in a very short span of time. The team join other friends and one of the most powerful swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps, Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, to face the demon aboard the Mugen Train. With their blades, our heroes will bring an end to the nightmare in the highly anticipated Demon Slayer – The Movie: Mugen Train.
