Nu Metro cinemas in Pretoria will be open from Friday, 19 March, until Monday, 22 March (public holiday).

News just in: Nu Metro has opened bookings for Godzilla vs Kong, which arrives in cinemas next Friday, 26 March – a week before the US!

Legends collide as Godzilla and Kong, the two most powerful forces of nature, clash in a spectacular battle for the ages. It’s a monster blockbuster delivering one of this year’s most epic cinema experiences in Menlyn Park’s large-format Xtreme cinema from next weekend.

Raya and the Last Dragon (PG V)

Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon tells of a time when humans and dragons lived together in harmony – until an evil force compels a lone warrior to save the world. Raya tracks down the legendary last dragon to restore the fractured land and its divided people. However, along her journey, she’ll learn that it’ll take more than a dragon to save the world – it’s going to take trust and teamwork as well. It’s a visually spectacular, emotionally charged but also humorous, action-packed adventure for the whole family to enjoy in 3D this long weekend.

The Mauritanian (16 LPSV)

The Mauritanian is the inspiring true story of Guantánamo inmate Mohamedou Slahi’s fight for freedom after being detained and imprisoned without charge by the U.S. Government for years. Alone and afraid, Slahi (Tahar Rahim) finds allies in defence attorney Nancy Hollander (Golden Globe-winner Jodie Foster) and her associate, who battle the U.S. government in an inspiring fight for justice.

Boss Level (16 DLV)

The action-packed Boss Level <ct:>follows former special forces agent Roy Pulver (Frank Grillo), who is trapped in a time loop that constantly repeats the day of his murder. In a race against the clock, Pulver must hunt down Colonel Ventor (Mel Gibson), the powerful head of a secret government programme, and evade ruthless assassins in order to break out of the loop, save his wife (Naomi Watts), and live once again for tomorrow.
