This year, the festive season will kick off on a high note at one of Pretoria’s most popular places to visit, @The Beach.
On Wednesday, 16 December, beach lovers can enjoy themselves – and put aside the past year’s worries – with Refentse, Bernice West and William Wolf that will be in action.
“We are very excited about the festive season ahead and those who have not yet visited the new @The Beach, should definitely come and visit this holiday,” said Nadine Rynners, CEO of @The Beach.
“Not only is 16 December a holiday and unofficially the start of the festive season, but it is also the day just after the matrics of 2020 completed their last exam paper. We would like to invite them,” she said.
According to Rynners, this is exactly the reason why they want to ensure that it was an enjoyable day out. @The Beach is normally only open on weekends, but this is an exception and only people over the age of 18 will be able to attend this beach party.
“After a year of so many challenges, and for some sadness, we hope that @The Beach will be everyone’s place of rest and good memories.”
The programme has been carefully put together to ensure there is something for everyone.
Refentse gets audiences on their feet with his hits “Anoret”, “Vuil Vanderbijl” and “Daai Deng” while his ballads like “Reisiger” caress the soul. Enjoy the music video for “Vuil Vanderbijl” here:
The energetic, blonde curly-headed, Bernice West, became a household name when she was named runner-up in the talent competition, Maak My Famous, in 2019. Her hits include “Kom Binne”, “Net Geleen” and “Sonop Blom”. Only eight months after the release of “Sonop Blom” music video it has been viewed more than three million times on YouTube.

Earlier this year @The Beach built a brand new venue and now boasts a bigger and better beach bar for everyone to enjoy.

No person under 18 will be allowed on this particular day and tickets cost R150. Doors open at 12:00 and will close again at 22:00.
