It is an inspiring local movie that transports viewers back into the year 1981, with South Africa’s white minority government wrapped up in conflict on the Angolan border. The movie is about a young boy, Nicholas van der Swart, who must complete two years of compulsory military service to defend the apartheid regime. The threat of communism and the “swart gevaar” (“black danger”) is at an all-time high.

RICHARD JEWELL (16 LV)

The movie is about a security guard, Richard Jewell, who reports finding the bomb device at the 1996 Atlanta bombing. His report transforms him into a hero whose swift action saves countless lives. But within days, he becomes the FBI’s number one suspect, vilified by press and public alike, and his life gets ripped apart.
