VIDEO: Pretoria DJ out to shake things up

Kabelo Motswi also known as King Bash has earned a name for himself opening for big international acts such as Bryson Tiller.

A 29-year-old Pretoria disc jockey is on a mission to shake Mzansi to the ‘chord’.

Kabelo Motswi also known as ‘King Bash’ will be releasing a new single, Good Luck, which promises to dominate the charts.

The Polokwane-born artist and presenter on Capricorn FM kicked started his career by hosting events in Pretoria clubs before graduating to DJ and Producer.

Signed to Winter Stock Entertainment Records, he has been dubbed the hip-hop encyclopaedia for his ear for music and for giving up-and-coming artists a platform to share their work.

“I have always been in the entertainment field but only in the events side of things,” he said.

“I never thought that one day I would actually be a DJ or Artist.”

“I decided to try my luck and penetrate the hip-hop market while it was still quiet, and before I knew it, gigs and bookings started coming in all angles,” he said.
